  Nothing like drinking an awesome yet modestly priced burg at just the right time to serve as a reminder of the greatness of these wines .

  Not like any 2009 I've had. Light bodied, rustic, very dry, and earthy. Not overly ripe or lacking in acid, quite the opposite. A terroir wine and not a party wine. Very much a rosenthal import. Thoroughly enjoyed and good qpr. It's got the acid to last, but I'm not sure it's got the fruit.

  Forest berries, underripe raspberry, cherry skin, rhubarb, hint of dusty spices, herbs, pine sap, with a hint of green herbs, nettles. Nice balance. Good wine, a bit austere, even for 2009. Blind at Brian's.
