Well, I have to say it's pretty consistent with my 2013 note actually. Maybe the score was a little high for what I'm getting right now, but otherwise, yeah.

Nice little light food wine or afternoon sipper. Reminds me of an Etna rosso actually--maybe that's something to do with the "volcan". Transparent ruby to crimson in color. Aromas of funk, earth, herbs (dill jumps out), and a bit of a medicinal/mineral element. Light to medium body, with good acidity, medium finish, and flavors of red fruit, minerals, and black pepper. I also got a bit pellet-like sediment.

Nice, refreshingly light-bodied, very good food wine. Not as grapey as gamay from beaujolais, carries a sort of Loire stamp. Some might say the finish is short, and it is, but it is a great little refresher with roasted chicken and polenta and would go well with a lot. An odd thing is the sediment it thew, not tons of it, but what there was being quite large like tiny stones or sand rather than the more common wet powder texture.

Opened 30 minutes in advance. Chalky berry aroma. Pure, pleasant red fruit flavors. Nice mineral laced finish.
Well made, competent, not complex. Good everyday drinker.
