Interestingly this seemed metallic and oxidized on pop and pour, but if left in the glass (or decanter) for a couple hours it blossomed into an enjoyable, although fairly straightforward, bright and cherry-driven pinot.

DRC Tasting Group (Cafe Veloce): Tasted blind. Funky, earthy notes dominate, supplemented by some spice box and chalk. Tart fruit is prominent on the body. Finished softly, with fine tannins and medium acidity. After some time in glass, the nose started to soften a bit, but overall it's still austere.
