Another screwcap wine that is over-delivering for both its age and for its sell price. Pretty sure this one was under $20 (I know it is now when you buy it at the winery) and it shows beautiful notes of dark fruit and dark chocolate. "Nothing wrong with it at all", it's very good wine and one I would serve happily. Might just be the best wine tasted today.

I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was to try this wine. Back in the late summer of 2010 I asked a former Ontario Grape King what grape he was excited about for the upcoming harvest. Without too much pause he said, “without a doubt Cabernet Sauvignon.” Cabernet Sauvignon is a tough grape to grow and get right in our cool climate region – so when a year like 2010 comes around you’d better believe you look into making this varietal – and this Trius single variety does not disappoint. A nose of chocolate, strawberry and raspberry with the added bonus of vanilla, blueberry and a toastiness are also present. The palate is just now hitting its juicy phase with red berries taking charge along with blueberry, strawberry, spice and tannins that are starting to settle … long and lovely finish with a minimum of a decade of ageing ahead of it.

Decent wine for low price, nice change from Cali Cabs - a little over done. This is new vintage @MLCC - 13% - surprisingly light to medium bodied, thin and has restrained fruit that is cherry/blackberry. Low tannin (coating) and acid, served a tad chilled takes the edge off.
I think that this will be better in 2013/14, but will be a light version of Cab...i find that is more typical of Canadian wines, which i like!

color: medium purple; nose: faintest whiff of cedar; taste: medium mouth feel, a little blackberry taste, chalky licorice-tinged finish; overall: big meh! like my 2002 Toyota Corolla, this wine is very plain and mojo-deficient --but I seek more pleasure in wines than I do in my cars!

Very nice bouquet and light palate. Beautiful colour and brilliance. Great with spicy Asian foods.
