  This wine really has stood a test of time and one that is now expressing its terroir and fruit quality superbly.
  
  Out from the gate, it is clear 13 years have done this wine a great favour. The bright fruit and high acidity are now a distant memory. What is left are great tertiary characteristics of smokiness, charcuterie, bacon and some fine herbs. Lovely structured body and a long finish really define this wine.
  
  Drink now or 4+ years.

  Medium full body. Cranberry and black berries predominate the flavor. Secondary flavors of cinnamon, cola, and earth. Mild tannins and acidity. Ready to drink. 13% abv.

  cherries and earth with medium acidity and a bit of meat / fleshiness on the finish. A bit lilting, this one wavers in and out and is particularly sensitive to food... seemed to change from sip to sip... interesting

  Seemed to have lost quite a bit in the past year. Sour, bitter and tannic. Some good spice on the second night, but never came together.
