  • Performed much better than the 2005 from this producer I tried last March but still not what I would expect given the price, vintage or pedigree here.

Color/App: medium deep translucent ruby core -> diffuse garnet rim. Reasonably concentrated bouquet of roasted cherries, leather, garrigue, mushrooms and a bit of balsamic reduction. Highly acidic palate of leather, forest floor, roasted meat and a good lashing of bitters. Short, short finish. I think this bottle is showing a wine in a nose dive and I lucked out enough to see it before the inevitable crash landing. My advice -- if this bottle is representative -- is to drink it now. If you wait another year or two (or 15 minutes) it's only going to get worse. Why are you still reading this? Go pull that cork and drink it! NOW ! !

  • One of the best bottles opened in 2021. By a legendary vintage, full aroma on a spicy ground of pepper and leather. Drink now

  • This seemed to be way over peak. Flat, brownish and boring. Had to pour out all the wine and open another wine instead. Completly dead to me. Some state here as well that their wines seemed to be over peak. Can this really be the case for a wine like this with this age? If so, I will never buy wine from this producer again. I expect more from a wine with a hefty 100 dollar price tag.

  • Certainly at a nice plateau. Good smoked meat and rich mushroom base. That made a nice filet sing.

  • This was surprisingly past-peak - a big shame for its price. Underwhelming in aroma, taste & finish.
