NobleRottersSydney - Christmas Dinner 2015 (360 Bar & Dining, Sydney): {screwcap, 14%} (Gordon) There’s a touch of glue to the spicy, white pepper and cherry fruit aromas. Dodgy oak? The palate is still young, but I can’t get away from a vague resin note somehow. It’s just medium-bodied, with quite astringent medium/full gritty tannins. Fairly even palate. Needs a bit more time to settle down, but also needed better oak treatment to start with.

After the Hyland this proved big, boisterous and brooding, robustly charming none the less.

Tastes of berries with a hint of oak. Mellows after leaving to breathe in the glass.

Hunter Valley Visit 2013; 4/26/2013-4/29/2013 (Hunter Valley, Australia): Violets and light earth. Some fruit intensity on the palate, balanced out by some subtle oak and medium level tannins structure.

Mount Pleasant Wines Member Tasting (Coast Restaurant): Nice but relatively simple and nothing special. at a rrp of $27 I'd say it's certainly not a buy.
