  • Wow impressive given the QPR. Raspberry, strawberry, cherries, and a hint of spice (cardamon?), earth. The palate had red berries, earth and savory elements. Nice acidity making your mouth water for each bite of the seared sea scallops I had with it. This should get better with age.

  • PnP. Really nice savory aromatics with a gentle touch of sweet fruit. Perfectly ripe cherries, a wisp of vanilla, and a nice saline note that almost became briney. Everything came together and integrated well. The palate stays true to the cherries, but is really drive by some great structure. The fine tannins and zippy acid start at the mid-palate, drying slightly before the acid become mouth-watering and carries out the finish. Great QPR. Would not surprise me if this gets even better with time.

  • Earthy/funky aromatically. Strong and rich, particularly for the vintage, but restrained in some ways at the same time. A little heat (somewhat surprisingly) comes through. Great QPR on this overall. Should be good for at least 5 years -- all the basics seem to be in place for some upside, though very enjoyable now.
