  The Lafoa 2010 sauvignon blanc once again lives up to its unsurpassedly elegant label (think Klimt). Nuanced, musky, mineral elements, good grip and finish, terrific with food. From Alto Adige, Northern Italy. A breed apart from the sauvignon blancs from Sancerre or New Zealand.

  Per me al suo picco; molto preciso e netto al naso, che esprime da manuale i sentori varietali di foglia di pomodoro, bosso e erbe aromatiche, che dopo un buon affinamento in bottiglia sovrastano la frutta esotica, il melone bianco, il lime e un sottofondo di mandorla. Al palato la struttura c'è sempre, ma stranamente risulta più croccante e meno grasso di quanto ricordavo delle prime bottiglie aperte qualche anno fa (ma magari è la temperatura di servizio a fare la differenza). Bel finale che ricama le note aromatiche e di mandorla

  Dorato brillante nel bicchiere. L'evoluzione gli ha donato maggiore eleganza al naso, dove la frutta esotica è meno in evidenza, e ha lasciato il posto a sentori varietali (foglia di pomodoro), vegetali (erbe aromatiche, basilico). Più elegante anche al palato, meno grasso, affinato da 5 anni di bottiglia. finale lungo e leggermente ammandorlato.

  Floral finish and a little tannin, a little more zingy on the finish
  pretty lengthy but smooth
  
  Impression:
  Great wine, very smooth and interesting
