Retail $25? 100% (?) Tinto Fino (Tempranillo). I bought four bottles of this wine from WTSO back in 2013 and this is the third that I have popped. And clearly the best thus far (the last I opened was three years ago). Dark, on the verge of inky, in the glass, with black currant, plum, allspice on the nose. The palate is pretty close to joyous with plenty of fruit (mostly dark), earth, anise, and a hint of spice. I really liked the first bottle (2014), loved the second (2017), and am close to over-the-moon with this one (2020). What will 2023 bring? I am not sure I will wait that long... thedrunkencyclist.com

thoroughly enjoyed this bottle. much more in line with my notes from October 2019, as well as other recent comments on here. the bottle i drank in march just must've been a dud. that said, i'm still inclined to drink the remaining bottles sooner rather than later.

pencil shavings, plum, leather on the nose straight off the bat. first taste was a little sharp, but the wine only needed 5-10 minutes in glass to balance out - graphite, clove, raisin, nutmeg, soft tannins, nice. drank best over the first hour or two without much change over that span. started losing character beyond that point. stood the bottle upright for a few hours prior to opening. didn't decant. still a hint of sediment. several more bottles in storage - time to drink up.
