Tight on opening; much more evolved after 30 minutes. Floral, earthy, herbal aromas with raspberry, dark cherry and kirsch flavors. Hints of black pepper, mineral and anise. Some dusty tannins remain. Will wait another 2 years for the remaining bottles.

Ripe but dried fruit that had a bit of dusty, earthy overtones and a bit of herb. Decent, still enough acid to feel lively, but a bit out of balance & past prime.

A really nice and easy-drinking Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Classy sweet raspberry Grenache fruit, which is quite elegant and not at all overripe. This is spicy and peppery, with notes of licorice, shows a nice minerality, decent acidity, just a bit too much alcohol, no perceivable tannins, no perceivable oak or brett. A very clean, well-balanced and easy to like wine. This is drinking very well right now. - 90 points

Really nice. What I like the most is it leaves no doubt about what it is and where it's from. Berries, garrigue, minerals, a little grilled meat, etc. Medium body, but somehow fairly rich. Very nice finish. As with most recent previous bottle, the lack of tannins limits its usefulness as a food wine. Otherwise, it's flat-out terrific.
