This wine is only a qualitatswein so we weren't expecting too much, but this one really knocked our socks off. On the nose, fresh baked apple pie with honey and apricot notes. Strong apple and stone fruits on the palate with a medium length finish. Very dry with a touch of a tingle on the tongue. Outstanding QPR. If I can find any more of this I'll buy it by the case and drink it all summer long.

(Schloss Johannisberg Estate Trocken) This was epic. Faust in a bottle. This wine lasted five minutes in the mouth, with lovely opulent 2005 fruit, great acidity and epic length. Lots of confounding minerality and a chewy quality that was downright fascinating. We sipped this much slower than
