  Very nice nose definitely fruity with blackberry and raspberry but also some wet forest. Tannins are strong and when too cold at the beginning almost had an aftertaste of bitterness but when warming up in the glass became much rounder and allowed the fruits to surface a lot more.
  This 2001 is very approachable and can be enjoyed right now.

  Popped and poured on a rather chilly balcony and drank the first half over a cigar. A slightly retiring nose at first but very nice and classic Burgundy combination of wild strawberries and warm damp woodland undergrowth. The palate was very approachable and a great balance of nice deep red cherry and blackcurrant fruit with firm tannins and a nice backbone of acidity, which was helped considerably as we finished the second half in the lounge and as it warmed up it then revealed some beginnings of tertiary flavours. Very enjoyable and a good advertisement for not crazy-priced Burgundy that is now at a great age to fully appreciate.

  Nice nose of wild cherries with hints of autumn forest and game. In the mouth the wine has a good concentration, strong tannins which have been rounded by time.
  In the mouth, it i a nice balance between red fuits (cherry, raspberry) and tertiary arosmas of game and forest soil. Overall a very pleasant experience.
  The wine is very approachable, but can age probably 5 more years.
