  • Intoxicating nose of fresh berries, violets, morning dew, and forest floor. The palate is filled with pure, cool red berries, backed by subtle spice box and dried rose. Lively minerals and red berry acidity drive the finish. Excellent, will plenty of years left. Hold.

  • Aroma of pomegranate that has started to go sour (not a bad thing). Some earth, spices. Flavor has cherries, touch of bitterness in finish. Interesting marriage of bright berry fruitiness and earthiness. Not bad, definitely enjoyable, but not remarkable either.

  • The nose is simultaneously ripe and focused, filled with fresh brambly raspberry and cherry, mint, and wet slate. The palate explodes with cool red berries, tart cherry, and orange peel. Sweet dried cranberry, strawberry, and chalk define the mid-palate, merging into watermelon, tart red berries, black pepper, and tea that define the persistent finish. This is made in a gorgeous, focused style with great intensity of flavor and real lift on the palate. This is an outstanding value burgundy that is drinking beautifully, but has the stuffing to last. • Good minerality, dark fruits and very tasty bug nothing profound. I like this wine and it would be a pleasure serving it but its not an outstanding wine. It lacks a sense of place and a maturity that I expect from a good burgundy.

  • A most excellent burgundy with lots of spice, dark red fruit, nice minerality and a very good finish. Definitely a food wine. Had this with marinated grilled sirloin - perfect.
