I can’t believe I only paid $14.95 for this wine. It was as good as some of my more expensive bottles. I also never know about the drinking windows listed and was surprised this was still quite good. It was ruby color. The nose has dark fruits- plums, cassis, black cherries. It was medium body and fairly well balanced with a nice medium finish. I think it will be good for another year or so. I have one bottle left and will drink it next year.

Thoroughly enjoyed this bottle. Garnet hue, dark fruit, smoky, smooth, nicely balanced and very easy to drink (with or without food). When I saw the price, I liked the bottle even more! Purchased this for $13.50. Great time to drink up.

This wine is not too sweet as is the case with far too many American Cabernets in this price range. Nor does it have that odd, homogenized, creamy characteristic. Oak is easily noticed and fits in well. Moderate tannin with noticeable acidity to balance out the relatively soft fruit flavors. At 5.5 years of age this wine is drinking well.

The wine is a medium to deep ruby red color. The very nice nose features plums, cassis, dried herbs, earthy elements, baking spices, minerals, and cherries. This has a medium body with soft tannins and good acidity. There is a nice mix of savory and fruity elements on the palate with the savory elements up front and the fruit coming in on the back end. Decent length on the finish which again has nice fruit, but the savory elements carry the load. A very nice change of pace if you are tired of fruit forward California Cabernets.
