The Irancys of Thierry Richoux seem to have become somewhat less charmingly fruity than in the years 1998-2005, has it to do with his conversion to biological viticulture? The 2008 is more vinous and earthy than fruity/ It offers good intensity and balance and can be drunk over the following five years.

No formal notes, at Accords in Montreal, with choucroute. Fine pleasant nose of strawberries, leather and barnyard. Dry, medium(+) acidity, medium(-) body, fruit-driven strawberries, black pepper, earth flavours. Medium finish with cutting acidity. Good pairing.

this wine proves why Thierry Richoux is among the best Irancy producers; bright red color, ripe and earthy fruit smell with some depth, a lot of ripe pinot taste with some tannins and length, will drink nicely in 2 years from now

Very nice minersality, roses..., liqourice, good acidity and concentration, some tannins that need to be dissolved.
