(School House Pinot Noir) Medium dark brick red color; lifted, aromatic, savory, dried cherry, light tobacco, light tomato bisque, cherry cream nose; silky textured, structured, dried cherry, light tobacco, cherry cream, mineral palate with firm tannins yet; reminiscent of a fine, mature Pommard; medium-plus finish (from vines planted on Spring Mountain in 1953; bottle direct from School House's cellar) 93+ points

1974 School House Pinot Noir...
This was a brilliant wine....
Beautiful garnet in color with a hint of orange on the fringe... This wine has an intense amount of life left in the nose and on the palate... in the nose and on the palate there are notes of Anise, coriander, tobacco leaf, black tea, dill, black cherry cola, cucumber skin, black fruit with hints of sage, citrus zest and white pepper...oh my.
