May have been OK had I drunk this earlier but now tasted very tired, lacking fruit or tannins so very little to recommend it. We could only manage half a glass and tossed the rest. Maybe I am getting too picky!

Not stellar, but a solid burgundy still showing very well after a decade. Shows the abilities of a solid winemaker who cares about the humblest bottling as well as the high end juice. Is definitely showing more of secondary notes now than a couple years ago.

Color shows ruby red in the core with a distinct rim of burnt orange to golden yellow. Upon pouring from a 375ml bottle, the nose is overwhelmed with tertiary, "nutty" aromas (mostly chestnuts). Palate confirms nose with some subtle red fruit on the attack, but still dominated by age. Some acidity still apparent and soft tannin on the back, but this wine is certainly past its prime.

A bit past peak. Bricking at edge and burnt orange nose. Thin and a bit acidic.
