  • 14.5% abv. 2nd of 2 bottles purchased at auction.
This bottle was in a zone, drinking perfectly. Did not notice the oak that I got from the previous bottle less than a year ago. Rich and ripe, but not overdone, good depth, good balance. Was great on its own before dinner, with appetizers, and with Ribeye & bacon-wrapped potatoes.

  • Recent auction purchase.
Tasted over 2 days - consistent throughout.
Prominent acidic streak with some rich Cabernet fruit. Some overt oak present as well, which I was not crazy about. Very good Cabernet, but I will wait a few more years on the next bottle so that the oak can integrate more.

  • Open for business....Vinturi right into the glass. Oak and alchohol have integrated with the fruit. This is great easy going cab.

  • Very recent delivery and was looking forward to trying it. Not sure why there is not a lot of love out there for this little gem, but it will leave more for me. 30 min decant yields classic cab nose of cassis, plum, and oak...a touch of heat. These flavors carry to the palate, which is a bit lighter than a typical cab, with nice acidity, which cleanses the oak. Finish is a touch short, but we're talking under $30 and for that - it's a steal. For me, this was rockin after 2 hours in the decanter as the oak and alcohol integrated a bit better. I would drink now with a 2-3 hr decant, or cellar 6 mos-3 years (but for the price, why bother).
