Purple center wih a violet rim. The nose is quietly confident with plum, dark cherry, blackberry, cedar, and earth. The palate is shy initially, but it reluctantly reveals plum, herbs, black cherry, and spice. Structurally, this medium-bodied wine has moderate acidity and chalky tannins. Long finish of dark cherry, plum, earth, and present but non-intrusive tannins. Overall, I thought this was a perfect wine for a Monday night steak dinner. It paired perfectly with the steak and tasted like a much more expensive wine. Scherrer never disappoints.

A nice surprise. I think of this as a little Cab because of the price, but it drinks like a big boy. Fred didn't think this would be a long ager, but there is plenty of fruit and a ton of structure. My last bottle of 3 and a joy to drink.

Terrific Cabernet Sauvignon. Well balanced, good full purple fruit with good acid and structure. Not huge, with just a touch of sweetness. Fruit is brambly and dusty, but also a bit suave. This is drinking well but could also age a bit. Well done, a bargain for $25. B

Absolutely fantastic Sonoma Cab. Bright red and black cherries, great balance, nice acidity with medium smooth tannins and great texture. This wine can handle spicy dishes, big meat or more subtle (but substantial) fare. Hard to beat at any price point.
