This is a big Zin, showing a load of rich plum and spicy blackberry on the nose. On the palate it is a fruit bomb; full bodied, round and smooth with chewy tannins, juicy blackberry and black cherry, along with a slight hint of pepper. Some heat highlights the 15.7% ABV. The finish is lingering and brings up notes of chocolate. It is so ripe that it tastes almost sweet and unfortunately it lacks the pepperiness that I love in a good Zin (retail $19.99)
