Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 88 points

  • Medium-crimson color, this has a very woody nose with a spicy cumin note. There is also an uncanny, sweet, exotic note of I-don't-know-what; any help would be appreciated here, kurishin. Regardless, the palate comes across as spicy and herbal, while retaining ample fruit. Tannins have softened but the finish retains structure. The entire experience is somewhat disjointed, with the nose and mouthfeel seeming distinct and separate from one another. More time might allow these to become more harmonious, but this is already aged enough that I'd expect a better showing.
