  Nose of rich, slightly sour fruit (blackberry, cherry) alongside oak, smoke, and rusty nails. Full-bodied palate, with a strong flavour of blackberry, cherry, strawberry, and balsamic vinegar. The fruit is complemented by strong background notes of smoke, oak, and cured meat, with sour acidity on the finish. It has a slightly oxidised character, but the strength of the fruit flavour overpowers it in the end. Overall, it's a powerful wine; rough and rustic, but ultimately pretty well-balanced.

  Wine was a little off the first night but drinkable. Second night it was fine for consumption after a day of hard exercise.
