  • Part of a steakhouse dinner. This was not decanted prior and was PnP at the table. There is a lot of sediment and This really needs a good 60-90min in the decanter to wake up. Note copied below.

"Nose a bit quiet but amalgamation of dark fruit and a hint of dirt. Perfect integration. Lovely lovely cassis, purple fruit, drying dark fruits, blue florals, gorgeous acidity and still some tannins here. Just a wow wine. 95 needs air for sure."

  • Wow. What a treat. Some friends opened this last night as the last bottle of the evening. We drank it up quickly. The wine is still young, but has incredible structure, great fruit, and years left in its drinkability window. Spectacular now. Drink now or in the next 5 years. Loved it!!

  • If you still have this in your cellar, consider drinking it sooner than later. The community drink dates (as of October 15, 2023) says 2008-2026. I'm calling an upper at 2024.

    Do I like it? YES!

Flavors of dark plumb, and blackberries. We wee hint of licorice. Paired beautifully with a filet + compound butter.

My cork broke off about 1/5th from the bottom - yes, I did drive the screw all the way home - so I was forced to decant it through a strainer.

While decanting, the aromas were AMAZING. The "I can't wait to taste this" kind of amazing aromas.

Bond has been a favorite for years, and it continues to impress me.

  • Deep dark fruit, showing its age with a bit of funk both in the smell and palate. Still pretty good. Drink
