Natural wine nose with especially the lower pitched funk smells (more bretty than VAs, but for my tastes a very pleasing amount of it), and also with a heavy dose of savory herbs in the nose. Wow, awesome mouth! Light, fizzy, but with satisfying concentration and a long long finish. Puts a smile on my face that just doesn't fade. Love this wine!

Wow, I was worried about this one, but apparently this was a good bottle! Explosive nose of strawberry, rhubarb, and violet jumped out of the glass immediately, and developed over time to some warmer fruit and cinnamon tones. Sure it was a bit bubbly upon pop and pouring but a few minutes of swirling in glass or decanter will resolve that if it bothers you. Great tart fruit backed by solid structure on the palate. A-plus would drink again!

cranberry juice, pickled plums, nail polish remover, and black pepper; such a weird wine -- is it a rosato or a light red? serve at cellar temp or slightly chilled? who knows?
