Wow wine for the AFWE! This was magical. Purchased on release, this is ageing so well. Some petrol notes, with chalky stones washed in orange juice. With time in the glass, some candied citrus notes. The palate is light bodied, but tries its best to be medium bodied. Notes of jagged lanolin and wood, spun with a thread of orange zest. The nose then goes into this crazy, ever-changing mineral-citrus-stone fruit quest, and my head is spinning. As it warms, some more body moves in, but the acids are electric, and the wine just short-circuits my brain. I had my first one of these soon after release - not too exciting, this one, just a trip. I wish I had cases. And cases. Drink thru 2026. Thrilling. 100% Romorantin. 12,0% abv. highly recommended
PnP, served non-blind. With an oven-roasted chicken bedecked with slices of lemon and herbs, just perfect.
on the nose it's like an eiswein, really surprising. colour also looks deep golden. on the palate, it's totally different and like I remembered it to be.

Medium gold color - clear. Moderate intensity aromas of Meyer lemon and herbs - broad nose with tint of oxidation. High acidity with ample mouthfeel and long length. Enjoyable wine.

Pop & pour. Clear dark golden color. The nose is pleasant, but remains disjointed with air & even on the second day. Some citrus & herbal aromatics persist, but hard to zero in on anything. Fuller bodied, this really shows the minty/herbal quality at first. Meyer lemon & more exotic fruit show their tart side with a massive acid backbone. Refreshing, but slightly unbalanced. Drinks very well with pasta carbonara.

Dinner at Verjus in Paris. Smelled and tasted like grassy fields, lots of acid, with a decent apricot finish. Needs food. Went well with scallop tartare.
