My Final '84 Daniel and the best one I have had. Great color, young legs, just modestly barnyard, dark fruits, asphalt, maybe a little amber with good tannins and a long finish for a 32-year old Cali wine. Great job Mr. Moueix and company. This is a special bottle of wine and was obviously a great bridge to today's Dominus.

1984 Napa Cabs/Blends (Mpls, MN): Very dark red color with a 1mm clear meniscus. PNP, decanted and drank 1 glass over over 2+ hours. Oh, this is very good. Great nose, fresh, lots of earth, dry earth, leather, mushroom, floral, lots of graphite and tobacco. The palate is youthful, vibrant, bright fruit, cassis, black raspberry, tobacco, leather, graphite, integrated oak, nice tannins and a long 60 second finish. Outstanding stuff, just a pristine bottle. #2 WOTN, 95+pts.

Excellent, old school, Napa cabernet as your senses are assaulted with dusty, dark red fruit, eucalyptus, stems, and balsamic vinegar. On the palate, I found a rush of menthol and strawberry fruit. It was immensely fresh and lush for a wine of over 20 years old. The finish keeps a hint of menthol and carries red fruit.

Opened a bottle with some seepage and found it still drinking well. Medium bodied, nice fruit and may have a few more years left

Offline for Alex and Adam at Zuppa (San Francisco, California USA): Medium body though lacking in extraction and seeming a bit watery. Doesn't have the fruit to support the structure that remains.
