Drank over 2 days. Good QPR @ $22. Would buy & drink again. Still have another 08 & 09 to go. Day 1 - 1 hour decant. Garnet, dark ruby purple. As the night progress, the "plenty of fruit" beginning starts to tone down to a good level. Silky texture, good tannin that's not harsh. Not very complex but enjoyable. Day 2 - Surprisingly, significant amount of fruit is gone despite air pumped out. Tannin is still there, smooth, integrated, kinda missed the fruit but still good in its good way.
This cabernet is ruby and purple colored with a nose of dark fruit and and florals. It tastes of blackberries, cherries, plums, cassis, spice, oak, and slate. This wine is fruity and medium bodied, but really is not that complex or engaging. It seems to be missing the concentration and richness, that make some cabs great. The fruit seems to fade quickly and becomes muddled in the glass. It ends moderately with soft tannins. This cabernet is one to two notches above entry level. OK quality for price.
