I think @isoarch nailed it. Amazingly well balanced $9.99 California Pinot Noir from Trader Joe's here. Follows up a well done 2009 effort with another solid performance. Dried black cherry aromas. Tea leaves. Silky texture with a lingering, pleasant after taste. It doesn't swing for the fences but in doing so doesn't make any blunders. Very solid QPR.

Pinot noir from California with a really good QPR. Nose is strawberry with some black tea and very slight earth. Medium bodied for a pinot noir with light tannins with a very subtle bite, but overall a great value at 9.99.
