  • Begun in the 90s by Adam and Dianna Lee, native Texans who followed their dream of making great pinot noir in California. With $24,000 between them they purchased the right to work and harvest 1 acre of vines in the Anderson Valley. They made a total of 109 cases of pinot noir. After a few glasses of wine one night they decided to drop off a bottle of their wine at the hotel where Robert Parker was staying, leaving it with the concierge. Their wine received a 90 in the next edition of Wine Advocate and their winery took off from there. This wine was made from the Lewis Vineyard in the Russian River Valley. I found it to have good flavors of dark cherry, strawberry and a little earthiness. Nicely balanced. RP not rated, WS not rated

  • Sonoma Wine Tasting & San Francisco - March 2012; 3/22/2012-3/27/2012: Vibrant cherry color. Rich cherry fruit on the nose, rose hips and cherry liquer. Bold on the palate with solid tannins. Chewy blackberry, baking spice and mocha accents. Lovely rich finish.
