Haven't had this in a while. While the dark red fruit is no longer cloying or disjointed, this wine does come off as a bit edgy and austere. While it does not necessarily speak of its terroir or its vintage origin, it is just fine for what it is. Drink up.

Now have gone through over a case. Last two bottles have transformed. Lost its cloying fruit and ripe 2009 nose. Palate is now restrained with red and black fruits with a mineral streak. Good Chambolle juice. A buy.

Wine with Friends: This was an interesting but disjointed wine. Very 2009 -- a lot of ripe fruit. Aromas reminiscent of California pinot -- on the brink of being cloying. But with air, it came around -- more Burgundian with time. Red fruits with a mineral streak. Not very Chambolle in character, unless the silk and lace are buried somewhere. This obviously needs some time in the cellar. This was probably the least successful wine of the evening.

This is drinking very well. This has nice, somewhat sweet red fruits with vibrant acidity. Not particularly complex.

Strong red fruit (strawberry, chery), slight floral, slight spice. Really enjoyable. More open and somewhat more complex on night 2.
