2 Hour decant. Translucent magenta to the edge. Nose of black cherry, licorice and light perfume. Cherry flavors with good balance. Nice finish. This was elegant, good with food and developed a bit of complexity as it opened further. In keeping with house style and past performance. Great value at $20, good value at $25 paid for this bottle.

76% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Sauvignion, 5% Cab Franc, 1% Petit Verdot. Decanted 2 hrs. Light red center to mahogany edge. Cherry, leather and a bit of oak. Light to medium body, a bit on acidic side. Cherries and black fruit with light tannin at the back. Over time, some Cabernet Sauvignon character becomes evident. Medium finish. This gets better with air. Either let them rest for a few more years, or give a lot of time in the decanter.

P&P'd with dinner of mixed Caesar salad, broiled filet, potatoes, and mixed veggies. Took about 1 hour+ to open up and kept evolving over 2+ hours. Musty, plummy, dried cherries on the nose with plenty of sweet tobacco. The palate is full-bodied, dry as desert sand, and still quite rustic, bringing more dried cherries, blackberries, plums, tons of horse saddle and old leather, truffles, green olives, oaky spices, and hints of bright, ripe raspberries, which lead into a lingering finish of hard acidity and sandy, swarming tannins. Drink 2017+.

Starting to show its stuff. Integrated tannins dark and slight spice aromas and flavors.
