No decanting and did not needed it. Dark youthful colour . The beauty of this wine vs dom de la Vougeraie's grand crus is that they did not try a lot. Qualities is there as usual but the fruit is left to talk for itself. Light oak use, does not interfere with the darkish character of this gevrey, full on nose, open with dark fruit edge to the Pinot red fruits. On the palate it feels on the fwd side, well balanced , good ripe fruit and firm albeit silky tannins. Pretty solid wine.91 and starting to drink well
