My last bottle of this. Camphor and strawberry on the nose. On the palate, cherry, strawberry, and raspberry, with some earthiness and light tannins on the medium finish, and moderate acidity. This is fully integrated, and probably won't get any better. It's pleasant, but not as interesting as some previous vintages.

A great drinking pinot that opened nicely over two nights. Tart cherry fruit, with earth, vanilla, and coco notes. Smooth with lots of character and and frankly delicious.

This bottle tasted completely different from the previous one that had some rubbery aftertaste but not in a bad way, resembling aglianico. This one was more in line of what is expected from new world pinot.

Respi-aerate to decanter and serve. Color dark red and medium-plus body, to the point where I might not guess it as PN if served blind. Open and rich bouquet verging on sweet, with ripe strawberries, dark cherries, raspberry all fruit, woody notes and hints of tea. On taste this is fruit-forward with dark rich cherries and berries, allspice, and some earth. Moderate acid (ie., lower than expected) and medium level of tannins are still rather youthful, finish is somewhat truncated. Overall this was good, but the complexity was fairly low and I was really missing the smoke/campfire and minerality aromas and flavors noted for the 2003 Litoral we drank a couple years ago. It seemed less true to the producer and the vineyard, to a point that I wondered whether I was tasting something else like Syrah, not just Pinot. No regrets for the cost of 20 bucks, but would not buy this vintage again.

Camphor and a hint of strawberry on the nose; on the palate, strawberry, menthol, candied cherry, and a touch of lemon furniture polish on the medium finish. The acidity is a little less than I would like it to be, but it isn't at the point of being flabby. I believe the previous vintage of this that I have tried (2004) was better due to greater acidity and an interesting smoky note that some people would probably consider a flaw (I suspect it was creosote from underseasoned barrels). Even so, for those who like a fruity Pinot Noir this is a good deal at $20. Based on previous experience, it should develop more complexity over five years or so.
