  • This wine is still within its drinking window. I didn't decant because the drinking window on CT suggested it was past it's prime. Still has good tannins. Prune with red fruit on the nose. Also a little acidity on the backend. I enjoyed this wine.

  • Wine spectator gave this wine a meager 74 points with the following details: "Muddled, with candied cherry flavors that don't mingle well with stalky, medicinal ones. 325 cases made."

Sometimes I think these guys are so far off that they can't be tasting the same wine. First, the label reads that 386 cases were produced, not 325. Second, this wine exhibits absolutely no medicinal or stalky flavors at all. Not even remotely close. There is a nice mix of vanilla and toast with currants on the nose and a smooth and pleasing mouthfeel. The finish could be a bit longer but it is still pretty good.
