  • Everything is so right with this wine and its surprising. Fruit is there in abundance and its so delicate and perfumed. Not over the hill but in its prime. No idea how long left. We got this from Artisan in Mountain View so they must have stored it well.

  • I've had this bottle a few times in the last few years and was excited to share tis with friedns recently. Much to my chagrin, i discovered the wine was well past its prime. The vibrant aromoa and rich fruit i tasted the last time i drank this which was around 2011 was gone. still good structure with definable yet muted layers. the finish lacked anything but dullness. i have 1 more left and will rush to drink it. if it's a differnt exeprience i will be sure to mention

  • This was a pleasant surprise. We bought this from the first vintages released by Longfellow and cellared the cab for all this time (we drank the Pinot and Syrah long ago). We invited friends to a rib eye dinner and opened 10 different 2001 cabs and blends. This was a clear favorite just behind the Caymus cabs and a lovely Pine Ridge blend. Great color, dark fruit flavors, fabulous nose and a nice finish. It's drinking very well and I wish we had a few more bottles in the cellar

  • ($50) Napa-Noma Trip: Sweet oak nose - carmelized sugar, lush, soft black currant fruit. Drinking well now.
