Served blind. Absolutely stunning nose. Everyone thought Pinot noir but many assumed French. The nose is all red fruits, spice and subtle mature barnyard. Felt like quite a bit of whole bunch with the perfume. Very long finish with a slight finish that hints perhaps the long hang time of the southern hemisphere. I thought this was New Zealand Pinot as it reminded me of a Bell Hill 2004. Very cloudy towards the bottom of the bottle. From SJW

Served blind, three people think its leroy and 2 of them think its an 04 leroy. Very floral with sweet red fruit, perfume, grass, rose petal, soy sauce and stems. Palate has some tart and red fruit but a bit lean. Drink up.

C - deep red burg, a little murky. N - bright red cherry and plum, herbal stalk spice. P - med wt, even but with a slightly tart finish, stewed fruit and red berries, earthy underbrush, youthful fruit and nice complexity. Has a suppleness to it.

Good colour, not showing great signs of age. Fruit was restrained. Typical Gippsland beetroot flavours. Good acid, as typical of Phillip Jones. Nice wine but not all that complex, a touch disappointing.

SAG (Blind) Tasting (Chez Weber - Chicago IL): Tasted double blind. incredibly impressive. Obviously Pinot Noir, not only did I think it was from Burgundy, but its density and meaty character took me right to Gevrey-Chambertin, thinking perhaps a top 2001 1er, perhaps Fourrier. Oops. This is the 2nd or 3rd time Chris has tried to fool me with this wine, and this time he really succeeded.
