Deep red Smell vanilla Savoury medium intensity flavours. Fruit is mostly gone. Went well with black bean dace. Long, long finish with savoury flavours that linger after swallowing Tannins kick in late and are soft for Margaret river Really enjoyed this one - quite confident it would have been even better in 2 yrs - Pity it was the last bottle At 25 bucks, shoulda bought more

Paired it with a smoked beef brisket (20hrs) which may be why the wine was overpowered and so instantly forgettable. It was pleasant but unremarkable. Nothing offensive. Enough acid to balance out the roundness of the merlot. Mid palate was distinctly empty. Distinct lack of oak. Short-medium aftertaste of citrus. I think the strong meat flavours and bourbon BBQ sauce blasted out all the subtleties. Better off sticking with a GSM for BBQ!

Very pleasantly surprised. Best mix of cab-merlot I have seen in a while. Great blackberry nose & nice finish. Mild mid-palate complexity. It stands well against glazed or bbq smoked meat.

Light lees and deep purple. Nose quite shapy with dark fruits. Smooth with mid to back palate. Balance good with a little tannin still there

Attractive nose of blackberry and touches of graphite. Juicy and appealing, mid-long finish
