Medium garnet in color, no briking, some sediment. Muted on the nose. Barely noticeable red fruit and oak. On the palate, dry, acid is medium, tannins are angular, mouthfeel is rustic. Not sure this will improve. I don't think there's enough extract. Unfortunately this seems like it's passed peak.

Berry fruit on the nose, along with spices. Quite appealing, but still a bit backward. Maybe 3 hrs of decanting wasn't enough
Rather "un-developed" in the mouth, a few hard tannins and somewhat closed.
This bottled surprised a bit, have open many 2010 burgundies lately, whc have come much longer in their lives than this. Will wait at least 3 years before opening the next.

This is beautiful - picture-perfect, check-all-the-boxes Chambolle, and perfectly composed right from the pop of the cork. Red-fruited with a pinch of brown sugar and a pebbly stoniness. Expansive scale, very spacious - real sense of dimension here.

Not as open as the Gruenchers was recently, with some reductive aromas and a toughness on the palate. Came around somewhat with some air over a couple of hours, with dark cherry flavors coming through. Seemed even better on day 2 with the reductive notes gone and a nice spicy finish that was maybe a touch short. Patrice Rion seems to have done well in 2010 based on a 2-bottle sample.

Quite deep colour, not showing much development
