Nice but not grand: Like with most Perrot-Minot the Chapelle is a really nice wine but lacking something of a remarkable character, which makes this a totally enjoyable wine without the wow factor of a truly grand wine. Similar albeit less masculine version of the Perrot-Minot Chambertin 2010.
Perrot-Minot in my book is a reliable domain, rather than a great domain. Duroche, Bachelet have substantially more wow factor and personality and class, let alone Armand Rousseau or a harder to find great vintage of Joseph Roty.

Hint of green notes with mostly dark fruits. Lovely finish indicative of the grand cru level. it blossom after 30 mins in decanter plus 1.5 hrs in bottle, high tone notes with red fruits cherries, beautiful on the plate and a lovely structure.

DnP: ruby; raspberry on nose; evolves nicely in glass over 90 min., medium bodied; tea leaves; spice; lasting finish; drinking really nicely but probably a little early

A very fine Burgundy. Red and blue fruit, very polished, modern with some oak for sure but first rate fruit and acidity as well. Easy to drink now because of the silky tannins and mouth feel, but young aromatically so make sure you decant it for 1h for the aromas to blossom. 95+

Wow factor on this georgeous wine. Cherries, rose and Dr. Pepper. Very silky and long. Sensuous mouthfeel. Absolutely world class wine.
