Had with friends so no formal notes but nice, fruity and crisp. Good stuff for $8. The 2011 may run you $9 but this one should be on your radar as a value play.

Old World Versus New World, and a Birthday Celebration (Ross's Condo, New Orleans): This wine carries a touch of honeysuckle at the end of the palate in addition to a nice if fairly simple quenching acidity and pleasant drinking. For the $9.99 pricetag, it certainly delivers, and I was pleasantly surprised to have this "budget" wine of the tasting actually do well. The majority of the crowd liked it as much as the $20 Vouvray, for what it's worth.

Fairly standard. No flaws, but nothing stands out either.
