  • Again, approached with dread-could a 12 year old $23 village wine from a lesser producer possibly still be alive? And the answer is an emphatic yes! Dull yellow with a bit of Chablisien green. A touch of sulfur (which probably preserved it), iodine, and seashells. Truly fantastic sense of glycerine and texture that outstrips one's expectation for a wine of this level. The fruit register is more dry pear than apple with some late arriving lemon. Excellent acidity and soil at the end. A true overperformer.

  • Wow, still alive and kicking, very nice saltyness, a bit of development but still a lot of acidity!

  • Uh oh, just found this village wine which had been buried in the cellar. Must have held for too long...maybe not. Dull yellow. Classic Chablis iodine and low pitched citrus. Excellent depth, feel, soil, and acidity with fresh orange fruit and a bit of quinine at the end. Not spectacular but quite amazing for what it is and where it originated. For better or for worse, I still have another bottle to try. You just never know.

  • Great affordable chablis with classic minerality and stoniness which I love in these wines but can be more difficult to find when buying chablis in this price range. Great seafood wine
