Wow, tight as a duck's ass on pour--giving up nothing. I'm trusting this wine opens some so that I don't kick myself for opening what I knew might be a wine with a lot of structure. So, 24 hours later, no shock, the wine is much better but caveat emptor, let this wine breathe out first. With the full night of air, pours a dark ruby purple. Bit of an astringent palate with lots of earthy blueberry, real deep blueberry as a matter of fact. Probably a passing scent of cluster inclusion on the nose, as well. Overall, the depth of this wine is very nice and the blue tinged acidity portends some further aging so suggest letting this one go another 2 years to fully soften.

Very good. Drinking well (although I preferred the 2005 I have about a month ago).

Very good. Blueberry, salami and sage. Wish I had a case of this.

A little tart at the top and on the finish. Fruits came through some, but this wine is inferior to the Colson Canyon of the same vintage.
