  • My first experience - and a pleasant one. This is a dark and powerfull wine where you are getting cherries and and a lot of dark fruit like blackberries and dried fruit. Medium plus tannins but only medium acidity still the wine has a very nice balance - we are also getting chocolate and leather - this is a nice wine that is drinking well happy to give solid 93.

  • Fourth and final bottle, decanted about 2h. Oddly, this wine seems to be getting less interesting with time. Blue and purple fruit soda, with a little earthy, meaty nuance. Fairly straightforward on the nose and palate. Elevated acid and medium-intensity tannins.

Overall pretty decent, but not exciting. Could hold longer, but, as stated, this wine just doesn't seem to be headed anywhere interesting. "Very good," 88/100.

  • Decanted for about 4 hours before enjoying from Bordeaux stems. Many of the more savory elements that endeared this wine to us in the past have receded in the cellar to be replaced by sweet dark and blue/purple fruits. Exceptionally primary until the last half of the last glass, when some of the herbal, meat, and smoke characteristics started to re-emerge. Structurally this is a gorgeous wine, with well-integrated sueded tannins and moderate acid that flow seamlessly into a long-ish finish.

Really good, high quality, but less interesting than previous bottles. "Very good-to-excellent," 90/100.

  • Decanted for an hour before the first glass. The nose carries aromas of grilled meat, dried cherries, oak bark, and just a whiff of horseradish and dried flowers. Rich on the palate, with the meaty and dried fruit remaining clear through the medium+ finish. The structure is balanced, with medium acid and soft, even-keeled, medium-intensity tannins.

Drinking near peak at present, but might age for another couple of years. Killer pairing with steak or burgers. "Excellent," 92/100.
