Opened and decanted an hour ahead of grilled lamb chops. Dark violet color with a purple tint. The floral nose brings cherry blossoms, lavender, tarragon, mint, and whiffs of beef stock and mushrooms. The palate is medium, round, and thick, bringing blueberries, blackberries, chocolate cherries, dark chocolate, tobacco, and herbs. The finish is refined and long. This is a lighter, neutral syrah made in the old-world style, not at all like most savory, funky, meaty WA syrahs. Still, it is smooth, enjoyable, and balanced, even if not that complex. Drink 2019-2023. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 91.

Short decant time, the nose for me was a little uncharacteristic of a syrah, the typical bloody meat aroma did not present itself. That said there is absolutely nothing wrong with the bouquet, it leaned more towards the floral side with blackberry and blueberry strongly represented. Silky tannins and mild acidity led into a palate that is controlled by dark fruits and floral notes, once again a familiar characteristic of syrah did not appear, the typical spiciness was not present. I enjoyed this wine but it was not what I was expecting in many ways.

Deep and purply intense Syrah. Rather calm on the mid palate with grip showing up at the back end. An easy drinker, if you will, but in all the right ways -aroma, palate, refreshing finish.

Our experience was very different than the other notes here. It was not like any Boushey fruit we have ever had. This wine was harsh, not well integrated. It did not taste like a bad bottle but was altogether unpleasant. I would not score it above a low 80's.

Good nose and entry flavors. Finish was bitter and unpleasant, even after 2+ hrs decanting. Would not buy again.
