Some honeysuckle and spice to the aroma. It is rich and layered, with a touch of the exotic and some fresh preserved lemon notes. It is complex, powerful and long. Drinking right in the zone but with enough in reserve for a few more years development.

Riesling Lunch (Frank's place in Matraville): After a brief airing this shows peach, a little apricot, pineapple and ripe apple. On the palate it's juicy acid fruit sweet. Off dry, peach, ripe fruit tends to tropical here as well, a touch of fresh pineapple, burr to the mid palate. Far better than my earlier Coravin tasting: I think the air has helped here. Anyway, regardless, this is very nice.

From Coravin. There are signs of bleeding under the foil...Then...Slightly corky notes and a bit of stinkiness. It's a bit flat in fact. Kerosene touches. Some vegetal notes, these hide slight apple. The fruit is quite muted. On the palate it's got juicy acid and fresh green apple fruit, off dry, with apricot on the finish. There is something slightly off underpinning this fruit. Not flawed yet, though, but drink up. I hope that air will sort this out.
