A powerful To Kalon that is drinking wonderfully now. Inky red in color, full in body, nose of cherry and pine. Tastes of sweet cherry, blackberry, milk chocolate, and vanilla. 15.2% alcohol. Gains depth (and loses an initially cloying sweetness) after an hour or so. Not the best To Kalon I have ever tasted (that would go to Carter), but this is an impressive wine that surpasses Mondavi's version in depth and complexity.
