  Great acidity, bouncing bouquet of frangance on the nose. Purply imperviousness gives it a dark rich color and texture. Strong notes of dark cherry and kirch. Tasting right out of the bottle as if we were tasting in Napa. Don't see a need to wait on this one in the cellar.

  This was a Last Bottle purchase from last year. Opened for dinner, slow ox in the bottle for 30 minutes. Well made, balanced, smooth. Cassis, black cherries and plums mixed with subtle spice box and crushed stone. A more feminine presentation of To Kalon - full body but medium in length. Not quite the blockbuster that I was expecting from some of the professional reviews listed here. I enjoyed it, I would repurchase if I saw it for $125 or less

  Upon opening the alcohol jumps out but subsided after an aerated pour to the decanter. After an hr bounty hunter represents Beckstofer to kalon with strong astringency on the mid pallet and a nice finish that begs for another sip. Strangely I expected a bigger nose on this full body cab and it was muted after an hour and after a few hours there was no nose to speak of. Strange and may just be me today. Overall a good bottle amd drinking well. I don’t think it will get much better. I have a few more and will try again in a year or so.

  Beckstoffer To Kalon. This bottle was slightly more muted than my earlier notes. The floral aromas were still there. The delicious flavors of dark, mouthwatering fruit was there. The soft, velvety mouthfeel was there. The structure and acidity of the wine was noticeable and the finish was a memborable medium+. While it was the standout wine for the evening, it was off a few points from my tasting a few months ago. Certainly worthwhile to try.
