So, so boring. Flat, muted nose and taste. Tried decanting for several hours in hopes of finding something there, but nope. It's not bad, just not at all interesting.

Society of Wine Educators Mini Conference, Singapore (Holiday Inn): 97% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby colour. Long legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of ripe dark cherries, blackberries, plums, mint, and spice. Developing. On the palate, medium+ acidity, high alcohol, smooth soft medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavor intensity, with flavours of ripe dark cherries, blackberries, plums, mint, and spice. Good quality. Drinking well now, will continue to improve with further ageing, maybe in another 3-4 years.

a great Merlot but needs decanting/breathing for a few hours; perfect now but might age nicely for a few more years

No reason to hold onto this. Drink 'em if you got 'em.

Absolutely everything I look for in a Napa Merlot. Bought a few bottles to try in 2016, and again in 2018.
