Cellar is overstocked, so opened later than I probably should have. Despite that, holding up well. No decant on day one. Plum red with tart cherry and pepper on the nose. Starts with those same tart cherries and quickly followed with plenty of tannins and spice. A bit tart on the late finish. Seemed better on day two, prob due to not giving it its time on day one. Had stretched its legs a bit more by that point. Have better pinots on hand, but quite respectable.

Dark red but short of opaque, with aromas of red cherry and pomegranate. Smooth, well integrated, and rounded in the mouth with refreshing acidity without being tart, and drying tannin without being astringent. Definitely improved with 2 more years of bottle age since last tasted. Though not as rich as the best Pinots, still very enjoyable.

This is a Day 2 wine. Poured it in the decanter last nite. Had a taste for comparison. It was SO tart. But Day 2 is a blessing. I am getting a candied apple caramel thing which is absolutely elevating this wine. Much more caramel but you know. Got it from wtso for 23.99 and am happy I opened it now because it is peaking. Great wine, Great price. Great experience.

Nice, but not as big as the Sonoma pinots we've become used to. I'm open to this style; would like to try this and others again. Maybe Oregon?
