Ruby colored, with drying tannins and acidity, good black cherry and pomegranate fruit, and no distracting candy sweetness. More deliciousness in the fruit and more silk in the mouth feel would bump the score up higher. Good by itself and with food, but head to head against a good 2007 Barbaresco, I preferred the Barbaresco on both counts.
Delicious, typical Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Brilliant, Ruby medium color. Typical RRV nose ,bright cherry, hint of citrus, leaves. Decanted for two hours. Cherry flavors with hint of spice and plenty of tart acid. Well made and beautifully balanced. Lacks the complexity of other AVA pinot regions. Second to Rochioli as my favorite RRV Pinot.
